THE BRAND
LE SEL is a contemporary jewelry label from San Francisco, founded by Yuxuan Li in 2020. By exploring different bodies of water worldwide, experiencing tingly differences in sound, shape, color, texture, temperature, and volume, Yuxuan has been working with the idea that the water decorating Mother Earth can also be a natural decoration for human bodies.
All pieces are handmade by Yuxuan Li, and each piece has specific details. The artist uses Italian borosilicate glass to capture the dynamic water drops, streams, and water surfaces. The use of natural gemstones is to add crystal texture and light. Her works have been exhibited at the San Francisco Museum of Craft and Design, the Open Studio of the California College of the Arts, and the Hubble Gallery, in San Francisco.
1% of profits from all orders will be donated to the Trash Free Sea Program from OceanConservancy.org aims to fight for a clean and pure ocean for sea animals and all life on earth.
THE ARTIST
Yuxuan Li graduate from the California College of the Arts with a Master of Fine Arts. Her art practice includes painting, sculpture, and jewelry design. She created Le sel Art Studio in San Francisco and began labeling her jewelry works Le sel in 2020.
